Gurugram: ISEODANG Korean Academy successfully organized the “Hello Hangeul” program at RPS International School (Sector-50, Arcadia Branch), Gurugram, on the occasion of King Sejong’s birthday. Through this event, students were introduced to Korean language and culture.

“Hello Hangeul” is an international public service project jointly planned by ISEODANG and EduKorea to spread awareness about the Korean language. The program is inspired by King Sejong the Great, who created the Korean script “Hangeul” with the vision of making reading and writing easier for everyone.

Under this initiative, around 100 students from classes 5th and 6th participated in various activities to learn basic Korean language skills. The event included introductory sessions, interactive presentations, O/X quizzes, and several cultural activities that gave students an engaging experience of Korean traditions and lifestyle.

The students showed great enthusiasm and curiosity while learning Korean greetings, daily-use words, Korean food culture, tourist attractions, and traditions. They also asked many questions related to Korean culture.

The event was independently conducted by the Korean teachers of ISEODANG, along with representatives from EduKorea. During the program, Korean-language books, eco bags, and other educational materials were distributed to the students. A total of 120 textbooks and bags were donated.

At the conclusion of the event, the school principal presented a certificate of appreciation to the organizing team for their contribution.

It is noteworthy that the “Hello Hangeul” program has been organized in 30 countries around the world since 2019. Through its branches across India, ISEODANG continues to promote Korean language and culture while encouraging cultural exchange between Korea and India.
